The concert is dedicated to presenting choral and musical works rooted in Chinese literary traditions. Contemporary compsers have set new music to Chinese and local poetry, employing Western choral composition techniques to bring fresh interpertations to Chinese literary works.
This concert will feature compositions by various composers from Mainland China and Hong Kong, including:Chen Yi's Spring Dreams, Huang Tzu's Selections from Eternal Lament, Doming Lam's Dust Bury the Bridge of Xian Yang, Jason Liu's Forlorn, Chan Kai-Young's Maybe You Have Grown Weary of Weeping, and Eric Liu's Yongzhou Cantata.
Under the baton of Jason Liu, the concert will showcase performances by a distinguisher ensemble of local young choral musocoans, accompanoed by piano, cello, and clarinet. This event offers a rare opportunity to experience outstanding contemporary choral works, some of which are commissioned and will be performed for the first time. Your Support isgreatly appreciated.
*The performance is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, with intermission of 15 minutes.
*Children under the age of 6 cannot be admitted to the venue.
